  • Driver Accreditation/Driver Authority

You must have or be willing to obtain a relevant Driver Accreditation allowing you to drive passenger vehicles.

In Victoria, the Taxi Directorate issues Driver Accreditations, and you are required to undergo a police check and medical assessment in order to apply for one. For more information, you can contact  Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria.

In NSW, Roads and Maritime issues Driver Authority, you must undergo a police check and medical assessment and complete a training course provided by a trainer authorised by BusNSW to apply for one. For more information, you can contact Roads and Maritime.
